Groby Ex-Servicemens Club is situated right in the heart of the Village of Groby (Grooby) - LE6 0DJ - was founded in June 1926 as a British Legion Establishment.  The Club is fully Affiliated to the Clubs and Institues Union  (CIU), and is host to many Local Village Organisations, Clubs, Societies and Church Groups. We also sponsor The Famous Groby Juniors Football Teams of local boys & girls, but regret they cannot get access to available or safe local Sports Fields within the Village envelope, at this time. We also now have an Easy Access Facility under the 'DAA' to facilitate more comfortable access to the Club avoiding stairs, with further improvements now in hand. Do Note However that the premises Are Not wholly "Wheelchair Friendly", such is the age of our building. 

Management Committee: Being Fully-Affiliated to the CIU, the Club is run by an Elected Management Committee which is responsible for all aspects and good management of the Club on behalf of the Membership. It meets every second Wednesday at 8pm; Members may address any issue or matter concerning them, by simply intimating their desire to a Committee Member / Club Officer; or by writing to the Secretary. Organised Team Facilities include Darts, Dominoes, Snooker and hopefully a new Pool Team. Members can also reserve the New Carling Suite for Private Family Functions, Celebrations and Special Anniversaries, OR the Concert Room for big events when available. The Club is fully Licensed and has one of - if not THE NEWEST AND BEST - Big Screens in the district - 8ft x 6ft - showing Live Sky & Terestrial TV Events as advertised. We regret ESPN channels are not available due to exhorbitant costs.
